Start with the timetable
Note your last meal, training start and next opportunity to eat. Morning training and after-work training create different practical needs. Before searching for a perfect pre-workout product, check food storage, available eating time and foods you already tolerate well.
Before exercise, choose familiar options
The American Heart Association suggests easily digested carbohydrate foods and water before exercise, adapted to the activity and digestion. Explore familiar fruit or bread during an ordinary session to see what suits you. [1]
Plan the meal after training
The Association includes fluids, carbohydrate and protein foods in post-exercise guidance. Rice with chicken or pulses and vegetables is one meal direction. Requirements differ by training demands; a dish name cannot establish the optimal portion. [1]
An after-work example
Imagine lunch at the office, afternoon training and dinner at home. Arrange dinner beforehand: familiar cooking, appropriately stored prepared food or a meal service with a workable receiving time. If a snack is needed, use something familiar. This example organises a day; it does not prescribe calories or require extra eating without need.
Keep useful notes
Record the food, approximate amount, interval before training and how you felt. Repeated discomfort gives you specific information to discuss with a qualified professional. Dizziness or unusual fatigue deserves attention; do not assume it means a protein shortage and simply buy another food.
Choose a meal that fits the schedule
Explore lemongrass chicken with brown rice in Eat Better's menu. Request a date and meal, then confirm delivery availability before relying on it for training plans. Fish and plant-based options offer variety. Discuss portion requirements before ordering if you follow an individual nutrition programme.
